Anyone ever had any luck cleaning one of the roll-around sprayers that was not cleaned out? This is pretty well is covered and I have not been able to even get the brand jusy yet. I think I have seen them for around $800 at Lowe's.

Do you mean a high pressure airless that feeds the gun from a high pressure hose or a HVLP unit that has a high pressure fan and what looks like a small vacuum hose?

I think this is the type. It has no tank. I was thinking it uses a normal airhose. Maybe I can manage to get some info off of it in a day or so. I looked on Lowe's website. This type is called airless piston pumps. Didn't see any exactly like this model but the same type. The ones I looked at had a place for the paint bucket under the unit in the cart. MIne has a hose out the back that goes in the paint bucket. Evidently, it just was not cleaned the last time it was used. Kinda doubt if it was ever cleaned like it should have been.

boman:

If a high pressure unit you will not be able to clean the hose and it will have to be replaced. It's similar to hydraulic hose and must take 2800 psi when operating.
You will have to get the hose from the manufacturer.
Depending on what kind of paint was last used, you will have to dismantle the pump and clean everything. Something like laquer thinner or acetone will have to be used but the dealer may have something for this.
You will likely be able to get an overhaul kit which will have all the o-rings and gaskets.

It would be a good idea to price out a complete unit before you go ahead and fix yours.

Is it like this?

I think this thing is a Titan 666EX. It is rated as 3000psi. I removed a front cover and saw a crank and rod. These are not stuck. I removed a top cover and there was a diaphram looking device. I still have not put power to this sprayer. I would think I would need to be sure and have the hose in water or something before putting power to it? I will see if Tiatan has a website and see what info I may get there. Maybe a manual?

P.S. Sorry for what may be a double post. I did not realize I was under my son's name. I will try to delete the first post.
