Dear all,
Just a straight forward question! What can I do to prevent pine wood from turning into dark orange colour? Pine wood tends to change in colour if not stained after a short period of time after purhcase. Any ideas how to prevent this condition?
Thanks

What kind of pine did you buy?

What do you mean exaclty? As far as I know two types exist (at least in my country):- Australian and Swedish Pine. I usually use the 8ft X 4ft board, with a thickness of 18mm, but regardless of the size I think this behaviour exists in all types of pine. When I buy it, it is usually yellowish in colour. Note that I am not a proferssional woodworker. I only do stuff for my own home needs. :-)
Thanks.
Thanks.

Is the pine exposed to light? There are so many different types if pine, and other woods, that it's almost impossible to say what the reactions are of both
