Carpentry and Woodworking - Treated Lumber Is Now Bad?

Unless I was dreaming one night, I was watching TV and heard/saw the following:

Treated lumber will no longer be sold due to it being harmful to children. I guess something within the impregnating is harmful to people/children. Anyone else hear something about this?

My Kentucky Home Builder's Association had as a guest speaker a representative from Culpeper Wood Preservers, the fourth largest manufacturer of treated wood. The treated wood industry voluntarily made changes from using chromate copper arsenate (CCA) to alkaline copper quaternary (ACQ). Even though there was an infinitesimal chance for the arsenic to result in health related issues, the change was made to protect the industry. CCA will still be availabe for commercial-industrial use, but not for residential construction. The EPA states that homeowners can seal treated lumber in decks and playground equipment if concerned. In addition, the speaker reminded builders not to use aluminum nails with CA or ACQ because of corrosion. Too, he shared that the "new wisdom" of sealing decks is to do so immediately with an oil-based sealer.
