I have a Kenmore Laundry Center washer/dryer combo model #99686210 which came with our house (we just moved in). The problem is this: the laundry room is on the second floor of our house. The "End of Cycle" buzzer on the dryer is REALLY LOUD. If I do laundry at night (which is most convenient), it wakes us up out a sound sleep--kids included. Is there a way to disconnect the buzzer without harming the dryer? I have a parts list and diagram of the dryer, it looks fairly easy to access. I contacted Sears and their only suggestion was having a repairman come to the house ($$$$$).
This is obviously not life or death and the dryer runs perfect, but any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Hello Janet and Welcome to my Gas Appliances topic.
Since you have the wiring diagram of the electrical system, it should not pose a problem determining which wire activates the buzzer.
Simply remove the buzzer quick disconnect wire, electrical tape the terminal end and place it in a location where it will not come into contact with anything.
The buzzer is not a seperate part but an intergal part of another componet. Removing the wire to it should not cause any problem.
