My heater stopped working I have a gas furnace (central heating and A/C). The thermostat timer is not moving. There appears to be no power at the thermostat. The fan will not come on either. Any suggestions?

in side the furnace there is a control box or board that has the Thermostat wires ...remove the red one and jump R & W with a seperate jumper there also might be a door safty switch.... make sure this is pushed in... If the furnace starts, it in the T-stat wiring or the t-Stat...if it doesnt start, you either have a low power problem or a line voltage problem... both of theses problems you need to know how to use your multi meter and read a wiring diagram
