Electronic Alarms and Home Security Devices - which is the better system?

can some tell me the there experience with paradox alarms and
Advent Home Navigator Im looking to purchase one of these system and do diy for it... but what to know which system is more relaible... and ing general the better system

Well, unfortunately, I can't tell you much about the Paradox system - I've never installed or worked on one. I don't think they are as popular in the SouthEast as they are in other parts of the country and even the world.

I can tell you this much, just from what I know from posts here and other places online, the Advent system is much easier to program then the Paradox systems. As for features and benefits, I believe they are about the same.

Personally, I use only ITI equipment - it's so simple and reliable, for me there's no reason to use anything else (unless the customer specifically request it.)

Maybe MrRon or some of the other guys around here will have more experience with Paradox systems, wish I could help. I've been hearing a lot about them lately and I'm getting curious myself.

Nope, we're primarily Networx and Ademco, these days, with a scattering of others, I only know Paradox from their spec sheets. Their specs and feature list does look pretty nice, though.
