Hi, I'm missing about 4 window screens that my last renter insists were never there. Is there a place online I can order screen kits that include the metal bars or ahve them custom made for cheap? All the hardware stores says it's out of season and they dont' carry them right now. I've looked online and haven't been able to find one at a reasonable price. I'd preferably like to get white ones, but I guess I can paint them white if need be.
regards,
Dale

I know you can get 'em at the bigbox stores like Lowes or HomeDepot any time of the year.

It depends on the type of window & style (replacement, storm, double hung, casement etc.) Screens are rarely generic. Hardware stores usually carry the adjustable type. A glass shop or a window store can help you.

Either get the parts and build your own, or have them done by a glass shop. For me, buying the parts is only a few dollars cheaper than getting them BUILT by the glass shop -- I don't build screens anymore! Just give the glass shop the measurements and let them do it.
Color?? The glass shop STOCKS whatever I want. Painting it is simply not an option. You'll add paint. THEIR stuff is powder coated!! Simply no comparison. Paint might last a few months. Powder coating last for YEARS!
