what a jam we are into...started to remove the paper
1. scored it (tigger)
2. applied daf.
started to pull off the wallpaper and it tore off some of the sheet rock skin.
she is interested in painting the walls when finished.
how can we complete the job?

You can repair the torn areas. Sand smooth as possible with 120 grit sandpaper. Seal the areas with Gardz from Zinsser. Smooth out with a couple coats of joint compound. After final sanding of patches, make sure wall is free of dust and seal areas again with Gardz. Then prime the walls with a suitable primer and paint.
