I've recently begun the process of repainting my home. The walls are cover with what we count as 3 layers of wallpaper intermingled with 2 layers of paint. Fun stuff! But my question is this, do I need to do anything special to prep the wall before painting because it is plaster, instead of drywall? We are getting the scraping done slowly but surely and get down to a good, solid wall, with relatively minor cracks anywhere. I've just never dealt with an actual plaster wall before.

Thanks for any info.

get down to a good, solid wall,

That is most important step.

Also make sure any residual adhesive from the wallpaper is gone.

You can use any latex primer and paint over plaster, as long as it is clean, smooth, and free of adhesive.
