Does anyone have an idea? Cause I am freezing!!!!!!!

I have a Williams direct vent wall furnace, 1977. The pilot light is on, but when I turn the wall thermostat on, the burner does not light...previously it would make a click, and you'd hear the burners lighting...not anymore...any idea?
I am also concerned about the amount/or any gas that may be harmful to my health, do i need to disconnect the main gas until its fixed?

I think a unit that old has what is called a millivolt generator set up on it and I think that is what is out on you. You see the pilot light there has to make the power to open the gas valve. No you can let the gas there just turn it off for now. You can take the thermopile out and take it with you so you get the right one if you are going to do it your self.;) ED
