I currently have a manual controller for my Aprilaire 760 humidifer. I purchased an automatic controller with an outdoor temperature sensor so I don't have to run up and down to adjust it on warmer days. The guy at the store told me just to connect wires to the following screws, going from left to right I have six pairs. The first says 24 VAC, second A/A, third Outdoor Temperature Sensor. I realize where to attach the outdoor sensor, but on my current controller I only have two wires attached to it. On the wires that come out of the humidifier there is a label that says do not connect to lead voltage. My dilema is that I have six screws and only four wires. On the insert it shows that one will connect to the furnace blower, I have no idea where that one would be since I can't follow the wires through the duct work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this won't work, I can return it - haven't started anything yet...

Currently the 24v are coming from the safety switch which attaches to the cover on the humidifier. At the point of the switch, it is split to the solenoid and the controller. I also looked at my previous post and saw that I wrote (6 pairs of screws.) there are only 3 pairs. My goof :o The humidifier is plugged into a regular outlet which is mounted on the side of the furnace.

Sorry I missed that it was a 760.
You need to power the control with 24v ( 1st pair 24V)
Then the two wires from the humidifier goto A/A ( 2nd pair)
The sensor then goes to the Sensor ( 3rd pair).
There is a jumper in the controller that needs to be set for Power Humidifier. Is there a small black box clamped to a blower motor wire?
Where do the other end of the wires that say "do not connect to lead voltage" go to?

On the cover of the humidfier there is a small box in the lower right hand corner. It is a 4 prong box. 2 of the wires go to the solenoid on the water line. The other 2 (which have the label about not connecting to lead voltage) go to the current humidifier control. The main power line from the outlet stays connected to the cover that is removed. Inside the (removed cover) is the other 1/2 of the safety switch. The safety switch is connected to a shroud around the fan. I cannot see where those wires go to.
I only have the 2 wires that go to the current controller to work with. I realize that these will go to the 24v screws. The A/A ones are the ones that are giving me the headache
I can't find any wires that connect to the furnace blower. The furnace is an Armstrong Ultra Air V Tech 80. In the last post you asked about a black box on a blower motor. Thats where I got the idea about looking at the furnace.
Could this be part of my current moisture problem? Since I am unable to locate the A/A wires. Also there are only 2 terminals on the current controller.
I see above that there is a button to insert a photo. I have a digital camera. Has anyone ever sent a picture?
