What is a good solvent to remove cosmolene (not sure of the spelling) from a new bandsaw table? It's in an enclosed area near my gas fired furnace. I tried alcohol with no luck.

Thanks

Do NOT use solvents next to a gas-fired furnace due to explosion and fire risk. Move the bandsaw table outside.
Have you tried WD-40? (It's a solvent, not a lubricant.)
We used to use gasoline to clean cosmoline off of new weapons, but be careful.
Good Luck!

Mineral spirits should work. Move the saw outside away fromthe open flame hazard.
