I know I read this somewhere about adding a bit of dish soap to the final coat of drywall compound. Can anyone fill me in on this tip and give me the recipe?

Don't do it.

I only use it on large jobs where I'm running the mud thru corner tools & finish boxes. Makes the mud creamier & easier to push thru the boxes and the tools easier to clean-up. Not really necessary for hand finishing, which is what most diyers would be doing. When it is used, it's about two good squirts in a 5 gal bucket of mud.
