I have an indoor/outdoor carpet in my basement that has a stain from duct tape (was used to hold the carpet down for a few weeks while doing construction) If you touch the area, it's slightly sticky and must have picked up dirt. Any good techniques for getting rid of the residue/stain?

Try an off-the-shelf adhesive solvent like Oops! or GooGone. (Squirt either directly onto the duct tape mark, let it sit for a bit, and scrub it clean with an old towel squirted with some.
