i have the chance to paint a freinds house inside ,the house is a about 1000 square feet inside ,my question is not including the paint or material no patch work roughly give me a idea what to charge ,it has 3 bedrooms bath kitchen hallway living area and no clostets are to be painted. it will take 2 coats. also base board is wood so do not include that . thanks in advance

tough question .75 cents a square foot divided by two cuz hes your friend, No really its hard to base if one cant look it over.

If you are a professional painter you would charge your hourly rate + overhead + profit margin + materials etc.
But if you are a DIY, you can't expect your friend to pay top $$$ for a novice paint job.
I would suggest coming up with a good hourly rate for yourself (what you are worth doing this type of work), a good estimate of how long this would take you to complete, and having your friend agree to this price. Then try to paint it out in a timely and professional manner.
What would you pay for a job like this to be done?
