Milliken has the most DIY friendly carpet tile or carpet module system. Try a search on "carpet modules" and see if you get better results.

I checked into these one time and was told by the carpet store that tiles can only be ordered in large quantities as they are a commercial product. They did offer to see if they had any leftover tiles in the same color to work for me but no luck.

sorry to make a reference here. But the Home Depot carries the Legato line. I just had a look at them and they look nice. Going to call Lowes and see if they carry something similar!

I'll have to check them out. We didn't have one here when I was looking before. Thanks for the tip.

Legato and Tesserea are both made by Milliken.
Tesserea has an upper end line with a softer fiber and more selections.
Legato is like a jigsaw puzzle (sort of).

Lowes just started to carry these carpet tiles. No padding...and same cost as the Legato system.
