How much oil do I put in my 5hp tecumseh snowblower. I purchased this snowblower second hand and I think the person that sold it to me had the wrong dip stick on it. The dip stick is only approx. 4" long and I believe it should be about 8"
Thanks for any info

The owners manual for my Craftsman snowblower w/ 5hp Tecumseh says 20 ounces.

951Tom is correct as far as I know 20 ounces is the normal for the 5 hp engines. If you go to a web site and look up your engine # it should tell you there also.:)

To avoid confusion later, I would recommend purchasing the proper dip stick/tube for your motor. Reason being, it may take the 20 ounces as stated before but how much do you add when you are just checking the oil (usually done before every time you use it) when you don't have an actual reference point to work from.
