Hello Jack:
For a start you might try this link:
http://www.cngco.com/cc_gnrl_part10.html
That said, I have never owned a Cub but do think they were owned by a division of IH (International Harvester) until 1985.
Please repost if they can't find a manual for you and I'll do more research.
Good luck,
Snowman53

Hello Jack B.!
The mower is made by MTD. You can go to MTD's site and get the manual from them. Hope that helps!

Hello:
Cheese is indeed correct to an extent...the Cub Cadet name was bought by MTD and they may have a manual. That said, if it's an older model it was NOT manufactured by MTD.
However, I've found MTD to be refreshingly honest and knowledgeable about lines they have purchased.
No offense intended Cheese, but I like to be specific.
Regards,
Snowman53

"the beetle" mower is made by MTD. No offense taken:)
The older Cubs were in fact made by Cub Cadet, they were good machines.
