Water leaked from my Christmas Tree stand and sat overnight on my Barlinek Plank engineered Beechwood floor. The grain has raised up at a few soaked butt joints. Is there anything I can do to help it dry/set back down?

Short of sanding and refinishing - I don't think so. Give it a few days and some swelling might disapate. Liquid spills are generally no problem but an overnight soaking will cause damage. Hopefully it was isolated in size and location.

Must be the season because we have a similiar problem. I dont know if engineered wood is the same as the Wilson Art laminate floor we have, but the spill did not sit overnight but for a mere few hours.
It has only been a day or two and the seams are still raised. Any luck on your problem?

After a few days, the grain and edges have settled down substantially. You can feel the affected area and see it when the light is right. I'm hoping that with additional drying time it will continue to flatten back out.
As for Wilsonart, I don't thaink that is a natural product. Engineered wood is a veneer of natural wood over plywood.

Thanks. Should a laminate work the same way?

Wilsonart is a laminate (plastic) floor, if water affects it, sometimes the swelling will go down, sometimes it will not. Real wood can be sanded and refinished (worse case), but wilsonart can be plank replaced (kinda easy).

This is the reason I insisted on an artificial Xmas tree after I put in about 300 sq. ft. of Pergo a few yrs ago (the glued in kind).
The surface is durable as all get out, but the substrate is basically particleboard. Water and particleboard don't mix!!
