Need a little advice.
I got a Sears Craftsman blower for free. It had an 8hp Tecumseh that was blown, hence the price. I got a shop manual and a used 10hp shortblock, put it together again, including a new auger bearing kit and new belts. It throws snow, but not really well. Could I have the maximum engine speed too low? I'm pretty sure I've got enough tension on the auger pulley, as it tries to spin in neutral. The pullies were a little rusty, so I cleaned them up before the new belts went on.
Any ideas appreciated
Thanks
Steve

Hello Steve!
What RPM is the engine running at full throttle?

Sounds about right. You might need to clean or adjust the carburetor. If it has a small screw under the bowl, try backing it out 1/4 or 1/2 turn and see if that gets your power back.
