I own a Ford Conversion Van with a hinged sunroof on the top. The seal (weather striping) which comes in contact with the rim around the sunroof (when roof is closed) now leaks water into the van. Want to purchase and replace the weather striping. Many different types available, sponge rubber low density, black rubber closed cell sponge, closed cell foam tape high density, DRFT seal foam open cell, etc. What is the correct type to purchase?

Need high quality weather striping that will compress easily.

A hinged sun roof pinches well at the hinge but on opposite side the weather stripping has less pressure to create a really tight seal. Need a good weather striping material with adhesive back tape.

Thanks for the help.
