I recently had my ceilings plastered and replaced some walls, now there is plaster dust every where. Any suggestions on how to remove it from hardwood floors without ruining the floors. Can I just wash with water, or will this harden it to the floor? Any help would be appreciated.

Is it really plaster? or is it drywall dust? Being in Boston it probably is plaster. Vacuum the loose stuff up. Then wipe with a damp spong or cloth.
