Have a Honeywell 1500 security system installed. I want to add voice dialing to this system.
In addition I also want to reprogram the security codes. Where can I get a user guide to do this.
Thanks

Well, I've looked through all of my information and searched the internet thorougly, and I can't find any information on this system. Honeywell used to take ITI systems and relabel them (similar to how ADT does so now.) So, it's possible it is a relabeled ITI or other manufacturer's system. However, that doesn't really help us now.
Technically, if you have programmable outputs on the system, you can add a voice dialer to the system easily enough - or, you can do what some people do and just connect the dialer to the siren output (assuming the panel has one - some wireless systems do not.) The Voice Dialer is programmed independantly of the system itself (as long as you have a trigger from the panel), so you wouldn't need to do any programming of the panel for this.
Now, for the User Manual, I couldn't help you. I have no idea where to find one. It sounds like this system may be an older system that is out of production - so finding a manual for it may be next to impossible.
Of course, the other option is to replace the system with something newer that is readily available. If the system is a hardwired system (wires run to each device) then this is easy enough and can be typically done for under $200. If it's wireless, you'll probably have to replace all the wireless sensors as I seriously doubt you will find a system compatible with them - depending on how many sensors you have, this could easily cross the $1000 margin.
If you have a digital camera, take a few pics of the system and e-mail them to me, I may be able to recognize the system or the manufacturer. Other than that, it seems as though you're out of luck. Sorry.

Nope, sorry, still nothing.
So, let's just go back to what type of system it is - is it wireless or hardwired? Or wireless with a hardwired siren, maybe? Do you have a panel in the closet and separate keypads? Or, is it all built into one unit? Is there any way you can get some pics of it online?
See what you can do with that and we'll go from there.
