Does anyone know how to/what products to use to paint the countertop in a bathroom? I am unable to replace the countertop at this time and I am looking for a cheaper alternative!!!

I've been told that using solvent based zinzer has durable results, personally I would be concerned about using the surface for food prep if children present but I'm cautious.
Another option is to buy a sheet of laminate and glue it ontop of present counter top.

I did my kitchen counter tops 4 years ago. Was going to just get me buy untill I re-did my kitchen. Well 4 years later still looks good.
First I sanded the top. Used red putty for the seams, and re sanded. Primed with XIM. Painted with Aquabond off white and let set for 7 days. I used Venetian plaster in different colors. Sealed with a water bourne sealer.
