Need to repair small ding in the silvering on a small (20"x20") antique mirror.

Silvering can not be repaired only re-silvered (not worth it) or replaced. If your mirror is a cloudy, streaky old mirror, the "ding" is part of antique look.

Accept the 'ding' as part of the character of the old mirror. Resilvering and repairing will lessen the value of the antique considerably.

Twelvepole thanks for your help but the point is now mute as the mirror was dropped and shattered. AAAAARRRRRRGGGG

I am very sorry about your loss. Perhaps you can find another old mirror that you like at a yard sale or antique shop.
