Hi...

To install wall cabintes against a concrete foundation, I want to place a couple 6 foot long 2'x4' studs horizontally against the wall and then screw the back of the cabinets to the wood.

Question---what is best way to attach the studs to the concrete?

I was thinking of drilling into the wall, inserting plastic anchors, and then using 3" long round-head screws. I figure 3 screws per 6' piece of wood should be more than sufficient.

Anybody with a better option?

Thanks.

I use a hilti for attaching wood to concrete or masonry walls. They can be rented at rental yards or some better hardware stores.

You can also use masonary screws or masonary lag bolts. Just make sure you use a correctly sized masonary bit for the pilot holes.
