This 30x12 pad was poured crooked,
It is a DUGOUT and it is poured to the right big time. When it is blocked up it will look
weird.

This padneeds to be trimmed off
about 6" at deepest end. When doing this it will now be out of square. Tell me about pouring this back on to the existing pad to square back up.

another quetion..
The other dugout is poured. I noticed that
not all the blocks are filled with concrete.
Code in Tenn is every 3rd one.
Is this done by blockers or not.
There is a steel I beam that willl go across
the top to hold the roof. and poles will not have to be put up. I take it the corners
that support the beam need to be filled.

OK, give me a better picture here...

This is a dugout....like a baseball team dugout ??

And you say "it was poured to the right bigtime".....do you mean instead of a rectangle 30x12, you have some sort of "racked" 30x12 so one corner is like 100+ degrees and the corner up from it is 80 or so degrees ?

Somebody not own a 50' tape and know how to measure from diagonals ?

I take it the block walls are being set directly on the pad ?

If so, you could just pour a strip from front to back on the 12' side, tapering from 3-4 inches on the front to 10" or so on the back, most of the block will sit on the original pad until you get to to back.....no higher than you'd be going and with only a roof on top, the block won't exert much pressure on the "footer" anyway......

As to filling......there is no code in Tennessee....YOU may have a local code in a city like Memphis or Nashville, but there is no statewide code.....so ask whoever does the inspection about the local code if you have one.

If you're setting a steel beam on the corner to support the roof, it WOULD be a good idea to fill those at a minimum.

As to WHO does it, that would depend on WHAT was said to the masons....typically, here, they would not do that unless you said so in advance and paid extra.

This my plan ..
Iwork in a steel mill and I got some
#3 bar. Im gonna drill about 4 " all the way down the back for what is added.
Knock in the rebar and trim to fit when
frameing up.
Also I read were its good to get
some 580 to paint with before you pour.
It suppose to help it bond.
My be overkill but this is a girls softball dugout and I want it sound.
Im the pres of the club so I feel responible to get it right.
Thanks for your thoughts.
