How do I calculate the length (amount) of baseboard units required to heat a basement we're refinishing (gas heat - forced hot water)?

First run a heat load on the space, then you figure the amount of BTU's need per room and find what the output of the Baseboard is at a set temp and figure the amount of feet needed..... or you could guess and just add it along all the outside walls...the best way would be get a plumber or heating contractor in there and figure it up for you
