View Full Version : Duct noise

I have a very high-pitched noise when the furnace is running in either heating or cooling mode. I thought it was a bad motor bearing, so I removed the blower and motor and cleaned everything and checked for a bad bearing but everything was fine. I don't hear the noise at the furnace itself but in the ducts through out the house. Any thoughts? Thanks

sounds like a restriction in your duct work, maybe a damper that has closed, a dirty filter, or maybe something sucked in to the coil...
