I have a electronic Ignition type furnace. It will not turn on when calling for heat. I checked primary side of transformer and it has 120v. I checked secondary side but it only has 24v on 1 leg, is this right? I checked for 24v to the gas valve but there is no voltage. What other checks can I make? Also the unit has an honeywell ignition control, could that be the problem? If so how do I test it?

transformer sounds good, does anything happen on call for heat? try jumping w and r at tstat to rule tstat out (if comes on, tstat is bad)

1) Check the hi limit
2) Check the spillout switches if they are manual reset
3) Check for secondary fuse.
Check from the transformer down to the gas valve some were along the way you are losing the voltage, ie trace the wiring until you get to were the you find the fault
