I would like to know the requirements for installing a second fuel tank for my furnace.

For that one, you need to check your local code people. There may be requirements for spacing, types of valves, and overall capacity, but it will all vary by locality.

If i only had another 100 gallons of oil i could make it thru the winter and not have to pay the outrageous cost increase that occurs in the winter months. Any ideas on how to increase capacity? ie another tank, storage drums then transfer when main 275 tank empties.
