View Full Version : connecting baseboard heat units

Hi,
I have 2 separate electric heat baseboard units that I am trying to get to work together. The electricity is connected to the non thermostat side of one (which works fine) but when I connect the wires to the non-thermostat side of the 2nd unit the first one doesn't work. Can anyone tell me the proper wiring I need to do?

I was having trouble to post the following message the past two times, concerning a problem with my gas dryer. I greatly appreciate your help to fix it.

I have a 10 year old Maytag gas dryer (model LDG212). When the unit is started, it functions properly initially, ie. the igniter glows, the gas valve opens and the flame is produced. After burning for several minutes (about 5 minutes or so), the flame is then shut off (I assume this is expected as the dryer is getting "hot" enough). After several minutes later (I assume the dryer is becoming "cold"), I notice the unit tries to re-ignite again: the igniter is kept glowing red hot constantly, but this time no flame is produced. I normally turned the dryer off after the igniter has been glowed for about a minute or so for fear of damaging the igniter. Otherwise, it seems that the igniter will remain glowed until the end of the timer cycle.

If I let the dryer off for a few hours, it will restart properly initially, but again fails to re-ignite subsequently just as described above.

Could you please advise which component may be at fault, or how I can troubleshoot this probem ?

Regards,
Tran.

PS. The igniter had failed a few years ago: it glowed only momentarily and turned itself off after about 10 seconds. Replacing the igniter fixed this problem. That was the only problem I encountered until now.
There was an error with previous submission (blank content), so it is re-submitted below. Tran.

If I let the dryer off for half a day, it restarts properly initially, but again fails to re-ignite subsequently, exactly as described above.
