I bought this TV (Mitsubishi VS-5072) new in 1994 and this is the first problem I've had. I removed the rear cover and saw that the blue light was out. I do not have any TV repair experience, so my question is two-fold; is this a common problem worth fixing? and if so, will a novice like me be able to do it myself? If it is not repairable, should I try to salvage any parts?
