Brandon or anyone else, need some help.

Installed my simon 3 panel in a closet in my house, and am looking at getting a key pad model 60-924-3 that will work with the simon 3.

Does anyone know if this will provide a chime mode, or make a noise when entry/exit to remind us the alarm is armed, as the main panel is quite some way away from the main door that is used and is hard to hear some time.

the one downside to the simon 3 is the lack of a keypad that had LCD or audio feedback to see the system status, hope this will solve the problem.

Any other solutions?????

thanks!

None of the wireless keypads will provide chimes. I think I would install a Maxi-Blast siren and set it for interior mode - this will make it chirp whenever the panel beeps or chimes. Of course, it won't "say" anything (like "Front Door Open"), but it will at least chime so that you can hear it. If you install it in the attic, then you could probably hear it through the whole house (about 110Db.)

Good luck!
