Hello,
I have a not too old GE 13 inch TV. Went to turn it on one day and nothing happens. Yes it's plugged in. I tried changing the fuse that didnt help. Could it have been a power surge? Any ideas ? Thanks,
Jb

it could have been a power surge. Is the under warranty? do you have home owners insurace?
if you changed the fuse, and it doesn't come on, you likely have a power supply problem.
Here are things I do when confronted with a dead set.
checke the hot, collector to grnd. for a short.
put pressure on the circuit board, to see if any open circuirts exist.
check the dc fuse, for opens.
check the relay, if there's one in there. see if theres ac voltage at the relay, check the relay's coil for low resistance. jump the relaywith hook -up wire to see if hv comes up, or if the fuse blows again.
check to see if there's horizontal drive, if the the set doesn't blow fuse.
check diodes in power supply.
check the dc regulater circuit, at this point I bring out the schematic, and check the relative points.
hope this helps, snuffs:)

I'm not familiar with electronic components so your are speaking another language to me. Guess if it isn't something that can be easily recognized and easily fixed then I'll probably end up junking the set. No it isn't under warrenty.
thanks
