If you want to remove anything from your floor that has black residue it may contain asbestos.
it is best to hire a licensed and highly qualified professional company to both inspect and determine if the material is asbestos and remove this material if it is asbestos.
Many local and state rules apply to the proper removal, handling and disposal of asbestos.
Improperly dealt with asbestos subjects yourself to hazards to which you should not be subjected to and fines imposed by local government agencies to which you may not be aware of.
