I have a 15 year old Sears TV which works great but "flashes white" when there is a screen with a lot of white background. I adjusted the seetings to darker which helps but I get these white screen "flashes" which last until the TV channel returns to a picture without the lighter images. This rarely happens with normal pictures like outdoors or sports but only when the screen shows lettering in a white or light background. It does not seem to be the tube because the picture is normally very good.
