In an very old house with plaster ceiling that has been covered in a popcorn celing paint. I'm trying to divide a room by suspending rods attached to wire for curtains or something.
I have no idea what to use to mount some eyehooks into this ceiling, if i need an anchor - i don't even know what the thickness is of the ceiling. Can I even do this?
ANY HELP IS SUPER!

Hi Sue welcome aboard. Best luck I've had on old plaster & lath for mounting is a toggle anchor, drill a pilot hole all the way thru the ceiling, then run your metal toggle bolt up thru there. It'll usually hold light weight stuff like your curtains ok, even small house plants.
