Hello,

I'd like to do a diagonal hopscotch design for my living room.

It is a little over 400 sq/f and wide open.

Will 2 size tiles give me enough of an effect, or should I go w/3,
with the 3rd being a different tile all together (probalby a similar color and texture, not contrasting much). I'm looking for a floor
that will stand the test of time as far as style, no trendy borders, etc. Subtle, and elegant.

The tiles I like come in 2 sizes: 16x16, and 13x13. Is this
a big enough size difference to give the desired effect?

I realize what I'm asking is strictly opinions, but I figure
many people here have seen things done everyway they could be
and then some.

I'd appreciate some direction, so I don't have the floor layed down, and be dissappointed.

I value the member's experiences.

Thanks in advance.

Roberto

Sorry Roberto - I don't know the answer to your question, but would like to learn what you find out. I have selected hopscotch pattern too, but the tiles are 13x13 and 6x6 - I am thinking they won't match up too well. Has anyone given you any leads?

about the only way i can see that this will work is lay the tile in separate rows alternating the 16" with the 13" in their own separate rows.Who sold you on this pattern? Don't they have something for you to go by?Unless some one sees something different than i do then thats the only way to make it work.Try laying some out on the floor and see what you come up with:cool:

Hello,

I scrapped the hopscotch design and went w/16x6 diagonal
and a border with the smaller size tile.

About 70% done and looking nice!

Thanks
