I am wondering if anyone out there has heard of "Advanced Copper Quad". My lumber store told me that the treated lumber they sell is treated with this chemical. I have been unable to find any information on this substance. I know that CCA has been fazed out, but I am wondering if this stuff is similar. Has anybody got any information or knows where a sight is to check it out? I am just wondering and worrying. Thanks

Well, we are currently in the phase-out period.
Most local lumber stores here still carry the CCA -arsenic type.
Your noted 'advanced coper quad' is probably just a marketing hype name for the new AC2 which will be the norm by the first of the new year.
The new copper treated pt lumber will not contain arsenic.
