I have a customer that wants me to install pavers in their kitchen, bath and den. I have installed them before and you have to be very carefull not to make a mess while installing them (sometimes sealing them before setting them).
The pavers he wants to use have been sitting outside (in the brutal California weather) for over two years. Have the pavers been effected at all by being outside for this amount of time? Is there anything I should know before using these tiles or should I use them at all?
The customer was told these were cement pavers. He gave me a broken piece and it has grains of sand inside of it. Does this make any difference?

You might get a different answer if you ask this question in the Tile forum, but I doubt that sitting outside in L.A. has changed the tiles very much. Assuming that they were stacked, you might avoid using the top tile in each stack. But you're in L.A. -- it's not like they were ever exposed to extreme heat or cold, or excessive amoounts of rain.
