has anyone seen or used the 20x20 tile that is stocked at menards. They have about 3-4 of them. How good are they? Are thay the same size ect.? Menards quality is usually crap.
What size trowel should I use and size of spacers.
Is the epoxy grout and thinset the way to go?
I have put down alot of tile, just not this big.

thanks,

Putting down about 1100 sq ft of this stuff for my mom.
ITS HUNTING SEASON, NOT WORKING SEASON!!!!!1:mad:

Back butter the tile in addition to the norm..Spread thin set in straight rows set the tile, push the rows over onto itself. I hate spacers, do better with the eye once you have it started ..Epoxy can be a bi#@% if you dont know what your doing.Joint spacing is up to you.Remember your expasion joints.

anything over a 16"inch tile use a 1/2 notch trowel most of those bigger tile have a concave back to them and the bigger notch will compensate for the span of the tile to get the coverage needed:cool:

A flat subfloor is a must for bigger format tiles.

½" trowel.
