We are debating the installation of either ceramic tile or laminate wood flooring in our basement family room. The current carpeting has been glued down to the somewhat rough finished concrete floor. Is it necessary to remove all the little chunks of underlay that stick after using "tug&pull" and, if so, what is the easiest way to do this?
On a side note, what wood laminate flooring products can be used in a bathroom?

I don't think laminate will be suitable for a wet area installation.
