Have hardwood floor installed in living room and adjoining kitchen that does not have a threshold/reducer piece installed. The floor in the kitchen is lower than the living room but the problem I see is that threshold transition is not level.

Left side of threshold/living room floor is about 1" higher than kitchen floor and the right side of the threshold/living room floor is only about 1/4 inch higher than kitchen floor.

Is there anything I can do? No idea how I would install a reducer on an uneven transition like this???

Take a threshold/transition and plane to fit the difference. You can scribe the piece in place, then plane it to suit.

This explains scribing in general.

Hope this helps.
