Hi
the single handle shower faucet I have needs to be adjusted, however, I don't know how to remove the handle. I can remove two screws from the face plate, but cannot remove said faceplate because I don't see how to remove the handle, so I can get at the adjusting area.

The Face plate has RED & BLUE painted on it. but no mfg. name.I don't know the make of this unit This is new. Can someone help ?? I threw away the box when we moved into this NEW HOUSE. Mr clean I guess.

Thanks, I need some help here in Michigan.

The "faceplate" is the estucheon, and you shouldn't need to remove it to repair the faucet.
The handle probably has a plastic cap in the middle that can be popped off with a knife point to get to the handle retaining screw in the end of the stem.
Red=hot water, Blue=cold.
Depending upon the brand, it could have a cartridge, disc, or ball assembly to replace from the shower side.

Thanks Old Guy

I need to adjust the handle function, not repair. When I turn the handle all the way up, the water stops running. I would like to adjust the handle to go to the temp I like , then stop moving.
-With the handle all the way on, no water.
- move the handle at that point, just a little and the hot water runs.
move the handle down more and the true function works good

Thanks

Please take a picture of your faucet so that we can better help you.

A picture would do justice on this one.

Thanks to all.

Under that little crome button on the handle was a screw, that
showed the way to my problem. Removing the handle showed
the handle adjuster. Iam all set now.

Thanks to this Forum and people.
