Hey all, new guy here and I have read allot of things you are talking about, and it seams to be a great place to ask and help people out !! great gob all !!

Question: I have just got a DSC 832 (8 zone) Alarm, it has the option to page me right? Can it page me and my girlfriend (different pager numbers) when the alarm is deactivated and activated and if there is a zone interruption??


The unit will not be monitored

Yes, all you have to do is setup both phone numbers and enable Open/Close reports - then make sure they are being reported to both phone numbers, not just the 1st number.

I'm not a DSC expert per say, I've worked on quite a few and know a little more than average about them, but there are a few guys that frequent here that may be able to provide detailed info.

The Pwr 832 can report to a total of 3 phone numbers, any of which can be pager formatted. It can be a bit of a tedious programming exercise, but it's not too tough.
