I have an older house that I am fixing up to sell. The windows are stationary at the top and the botom lifts up. The locks on them are the kind that push in to lock, and pull out to unlock. Does anyone know what they are called, and where to possibly to find replacements? You may email me at scott@thewholesalepost.com.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like you are looking for sash locks. Most home centers will have them and there are alot of online vendors, but they may not be an exact replacement for those you have. You can still use them but may have to make new mounting holes.

You need a restoration resource. Try Van Dykes Restorers (www.vandykes.com), or Crown City Hardware.

Sounds like your describing what is called bypass locks or simply pushlocks. Any decent locksmith shop will have them in stock. Take in a sample so they can match it for barrel diameter as they do vary.
