Same story, different day - I just bought a house and my genius real estate agent didn't get the master code for me. I tried using 1234, thinking that would be the factory default, but had no luck. Anyone have any ideas?:(

The NX series is better in some ways, and worse in others when it comes to the master code problem. The only workaround short of a lucky guess, is to get the unit into "program" mode.
Try *8+9713
If that number is still valid, the service LED will flash, and the function keys will light steady.
If this happens, _immediatly_ press the button marked "EXIT" until it goes back to the power-ready light.
Let us know if that works. If it does, there is a way to get into the master code from the back door. But I need to know if that number worked.
If not, your only hope is finding someone who has the direct connect module that bypasses the coding structure. (Which is the _only_ way to get into a NX that's in alarm).
Another number that you can try, if you know it, is the last 4 digits of the installer's phone number (a commonly used combo).
Otherwise, try the prior owner.
