Hi All
Need your expertise. I am considering having closed cell poly foam applied to the underside of my roof it has a great R value of 7 per inch and I was quoted $2.00 per sq. ft at 4" thick but I have reservations about ventilation under the roof. The contractor tells me this isn't a problem but I'm not sure about that.

I would like to continue using the attic for storage it's partly floored this is the reason for the roof installation. Or would I be better off having about R 30 installed and making a sub floor for storage also its much more economical? Help!

Go for it in the attic get the R-30 and put a floor over it.Make sure to vent all the rafters from the over hang. So the attic has a good vent set upthat the insulation dont block the air there.;) ED
