I live in a 2 story house and a portion of my bedroom and all of the master bath are directly above my garage. The builder obviously went cheap and didn't isulate properly because the bathroom is unbearably hot during our hot Tx summers and gets equally as cold during the winter months. Easily a 10-15 degree difference from the rest of the house at the extreme heat/cold. My question is whether I can insulate between floors? Could I put something on the ceiling of my garage (effectively the floor of my masterbath) to keep out the heat/cold? Thanks!

If there is that much difference in the bath over the garage, I would be tempted to pull the ceiling down in the garage and insulate the floor of the bath properly, then repair the garage ceiling. Trying to add something on to what currently exists won't likely work as well as doing it right.
Hope this helps.
